Has anyone read the web-doujinshi "Niji"? The one where Kyon and Koizumi have a boxing match in front of the entire school with the prize being (IIRC) a kiss from Haruhi? I want to fangirl about this with someone... anyone... *crickets chirp* ._.

MOVING ON:
Event-planning wise, this probably wasn't the most awesome sauce wedding out there, but it made for a satisfying conclusion to a series I'd been following for a while and it was the first wedding scene I thought of when I saw the question, so yeah.

William Jones/Emma Stowner [Victorian Romance Emma]

The part where Emma gets all confused about what last name to put in the register, and William goes "use Stowner, she wouldn't mind" was a nice throwback to how they were introduced in the first place.  Plus, you know, love overcoming class differences and all that jazz.

Why yes, I did buy all ten Japanese volumes as they were released, thank you.

... Well, I first read Emma on IIRC when it started serializing, and then I bought all the mandarin Chinese volumes as they came out. Why? Because they're 60% cheaper.

BUT, I stopped buying them at 7, because I got so, so, so, so pissed at William for proposing and then breaking the proposal with Eleanor. And then after the anger waned after about a year, I evaluated the story and thought, "Hmm, kind of predictable?" Plus way, way, way too little Hans. So I didn't finish buying the series. BUT, then the Bangaihen tankoubons started coming out, I sneaked a peek and they were 10X more interesting than the main body of plot, plus there was Hans and Adele and much Germans and lovable side characters, so I had to buy those.

I bought both volumes of Otoyomegatari days after their release, at full Kinokuniya California ripoff sales tax prices.

I agree it was a dick move on William's part to break off the proposal to Eleanor, but he did propose to Eleanor while thinking that he would never see Emma again. The Jones family also fell from society's good graces because of his move so I wouldn't say he didn't come out of it unscathed. At least Bangaihen sort of addressed that with Eleanor's chapters...?

I ship William/Emma pretty fiercely but I understand why a lot of people were pissed off about the non-ending of the regular series. If the Bangaihen chapters didn't exist then I probably wouldn't have liked Emma as much as I do now, tbh.

I'm probably assuming too much here, but Grace was still able to marry the man she wanted to and Arthur is still able to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer? William's mom also mentioned moving back into the main house too. Not sure about Vivi and Colin though ._.
