Now that I think about it, there aren't really that many proposals in anime/manga. Usually epilogues just fast-forward to when couples are married and have children... I guess it's one of those "the moon is beautiful tonight" implied things. (Although if I ever see a "I want to share the same gravestone as you" proposal in anime I will LOL majorly.)

day.29 - What ship had the best proposal?I prefer the manga style to the anime style
Edward Elric/Winry Rockbell [Full Metal Alchemist]

Ed's proposal to Winry (and her reply! OMG SQUEE her reply!!) was absoultely adorkable and ridiculously in-character and the timing was perfect and just yes. Full Metal Alchemist has been over for a month already and I still go googly-eyed at the ending.

[In all fairness William's proposal to Emma was hot, but I think this one blew them out of the water in terms of sugary sweetness. Plus, Winry's response was pitch perfect while Emma's was like "o i needz mah smellin saltz!!!1"]

It was very cute. I mean, with the way shonen and especially shojo manga are these days, a regular, normal, happy ending with marriage and kids is positively original.
